I'm actually excited for a new 2D Sonic
So, after seeing this article from Nick Robinson over at Polygon.com, I have to say I'm totally willing to give sonic another chance. Seeing old zones remastered doesn't do much for me. But this new level feels inspired and the hyper color look has got me reeling.
“Recently we went hands on with Sonic Mania to check out the first new content shown since the game’s reveal: a brand new desert-themed stage called Mirage Saloon Zone, plus a first look at playable characters Miles “Tails” Prower and Knuckles. This also marks our first look at the game’s on-by-default CRT filter, which will be optional in the final game.”
